RUFF SCOTT
Born in Manchester, Jamaica West Indies, Dave Reid aka. "Ruff Scott" the
rock stone voice was inspired by the world of reggae at a very young
age. At the age of fourteen, Ruff Scott was already an upcoming
DJ, writing his own lyrics. Ruff Scott is more determined than
ever to soar to the highest in the reggae industry. Ruff Scott
specializes in creative lyrics each carrying a positive message.
He has opened up for artist such as Dennis Brown, Yellow Man, Marcia
Griffiths, Sugar Minot, Sister Carol, Carlene Davis, Beenie Man, Bounty
Killer, Ken Boothe, U-Roy, Twinkle Brothers, Shinehead, Yami Bolo among
others. He has also performed in various clubs in New York
including the Q-Club, Club Legend, Loo International, Club Mirage,
Bentley's, Liguinea S.O.B., Jam Rock and many others. Ruff Scott
toured in 1999 to the beautiful islands of Hawaii where he linked up
with The Heartical Crew (THC) and Pacific Sounds Outernational forming a
permanent alliance. While in Hawaii, Ruff Scott performed at
various clubs such as Anna Banana's, Shipley's Ale House, Don Ho's, The
Wave Waikiki and on Kauai at the Wailer's Brew Pub. In the
summer of 2000, Ruff Scott returned to Hawaii for some more shows and
also to California where he performed at the Sierra Nevada Music
Festival with THC. Ruff Scott also recorded an album that was
co-produced by Isis (THC) and the musicians of THC being released before
the Summer of 2001. When asked , "What are your future goals?"
Ruff Scott answered, "I will go where the Almighty leads me, straight to
the top of the mountain, I'm just here as a Messenger of God".
With that answer, Ruff Scott is ready for the world! Ruff Scott is
currently in the studio recording new music for tomorrow's future hits
with releases coming soon.
